Well, I think way back in October or November, someone (it was not me), came
up with the Cross-Country Blind Ops Net name, and it somehow just stuck.

Like anything, I'm not stringently bound to the name, although I do think it
has a certain ring to it. The cross-country part is accurate, and I think
it was felt that blind ops somehow sounded better than blind hams, but that
is a matter of opinion, I'm sure.

Anyway, I remain open to anything that can make this whole thing even
better, as long as we are careful to be sure that the will of the group
prevails.

While we're discussing the net, I'd like to ask a question concerning the
official name of our net. I notice Tom has been calling it the
cross-country blind ops net. Now, I don't care at all what we call it, but
considering the fact that it sprang from the blind-hams email list, doesn't
it make sense to call it the blind-hams net and not the blind-ops net? Just
wondering. lou WA3MIX
