The stand-alone reader costs $1995. The reader software costs $15.01. The
reader with the cell phone is more, but I can remember what the price was.

Frankly, the prices are steep, but I guess that's true of all adaptive
high-tech products.

I think the reader idea is great, but I'd like to be able to use the
software in any SmartPhone or PDA phone. I wouldn't want to be restricted
to Nokia and the networks that provide it. I'd like to be able to use it in
my Motorola Q.

I would also prefer reading braille to hearing speech.

I also wonder how the software compares in performance to the Kurzweil 100
software. I also wonder if a document printed in columns would speak the
text in the proper order.

Terri Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA.
