well, you go in and turn menu's 9 and 10 to 1 or the on position.  The
qsy'er plugs in to the accessory port one which if you are facing the radio
is on the back about in the middle and right hand plug.  Works just like all
other Kenwood rigs and doesn't need the if-232c interface to work!
