if it's obvious. If a rocker switchis oriented vertically, then we know the
lower side is down. I only need something that talks if it tells me

I didn't have any trouble with xp.  It is an interesting radio, although 
as uaual, it doesn't talk at all in the menus and talks to much, such as 
"volume up" and "volume down", like I couldn't tell that.  I may get one 
though.
