I agree with you totally on the generosity and helpfulness of the vast 
majority of ham radio operators.

Sure, there are always some bad apples out there, but in my experience, they 
have been few and far between.

I would be willing to bet that just about all of us have gotten where we are 
in amateur radio  today because of the kindness and supportiveness of at 
least some hams, which is one of the things that I think makes this hobby so 
great.
