Hi Butch, I haven't been paying too much attention to this 
thread, because I have two Yaesu HT's one being an old dual band 
FT530and the other a Vx5R.  Just wondering  if it's easier to 
program your HT manually or do you prefer using the computer? 
There is no way I can program the VX5R manually.  Also, how's the 
out-of-band receive on your new HT? 73, Jim

Yep, you're right.  Not that bad to program.  I had to clear out 
about 20
memories which took a little while, probably a way to clear them 
all, but
didn't know how.  Put in 3 repeaters and a simplex channel.  A 
cool little
radio for the cost.
