That quoted below will give a little more info.
Some of the limitations are the range of available voices, and no support
from GW Micro on the product, unless you already have a full license for
Window Eyes.

Subject: Are you New to Window-Eyes? Join Us for a Free Online Training!

Since the release of Window-Eyes for Users of Microsoft Office Offer, we
have been receiving many questions from people who are new to Window-Eyes.
GW Micro remains committed to serving its customers. We have always greatly
valued customer feedback, and we want to help the new members of the GW
Micro family be able to use Window-Eyes to its fullest. To welcome our new
customers, we would like to offer you the ability to get to know us as well
as to get to know our product and your new screen reader. On Wednesday,
January 22, we will be holding two free online training sessions. We will
give you some basic tips, but we also want to answer your questions on how
to use Window-Eyes. Members of our support and training teams will be
available to answer your questions. Due anticipated high demand, we are
holding two sessions: one at 11:30 AM and one at 2:00 PM EST. You can
access the meeting at www.gwmicro.com/meeting. Enter your first and last
name for the username and newcustomer2014 as the password. There is no need
to register. Space is limited and it will be granted on a first-come,
first-served basis. If you need help accessing the room, please call
Talking Communities at (262) 456-5911. GW Micro is unable to answer
questions regarding accessing or using the conference room.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Subject: Window-Eyes available for free

Hi All,

I hadn't quite appreciated the scope of the offer when it was made =
earlier
this week, but GWMicro and Microsoft have announced that the Window-Eyes
screen reader is now free for anyone with a copy of MS Office 10 or =
greater.
I initially thought Window-Eyes would just work with Office, but it =
looks
like you get the complete package.

OK, you have to have a fairly new copy of Office, but it seems to me =
that is
an unbelievable offer. Many of us use multiple screen readers to =
perform
different tasks, and Window-Eyes is an incredibly powerful tool to have =
in
the toolbox! =20

It would also appear that future Window-Eyes updates will be free to =
Office
10 users too. The offer appears to exclude the Office starter pack, and =
as
the Home and Student copy of Office 10 can be bought on Amazon for about =
=A360
or $100, I'm honestly not sure if this would qualify for a free copy of
Window-Eyes... I suspect not, as the usual price in the UK is over =
=A3500,
for the screen reader alone...

Hopefully someone will know more...

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID
