You can set the tones by counting clicks of the control used to set the tines.
You get a beep at the bottom of the tones and at the top and so if you've lost
track of where you're set you can always go to the top or bottom of the tone
list and count.  All you'll need is a list of the tines and you're good to go.
Remember that the e model differs a little from the U.S. models (k and x).
