Hi Richard,

There is an accessibility review of the TS-590 at:

http://active-elements.org/2012/12/01/kenwood-ts-590/

The manual is also available on the page in MP3. I've briefly used both the
590 and 480, and the 480 is a much smaller radio with a separate remote
head. The main part of the radio can be tucked away somewhere else. The
voice announcements are pretty similar, but the 590 will also tell you the
SWR.

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID

Hi;
Just looking for some general ts590 info. I looked at the material at I
can work this thing. Any other podcasts or accessibility oriented
reviews that anyone can point me to?
Also other than the physical design of the radio, how does this differ
from the ts480? I gather there is no 2 meters or 440. Is the receiver
significantly better? Is the dsp in the audio or i f?
Not buying tomorrow but can't blame a man for window shopping.
