I also wanted to know more why the THF6A doesn't have that function.
Every  other newer radio I have seen has that function.  I'm not sure
though when you are transmitting if that would work, but I have had the
radio dye on me when I am transmitting, and that can be imbarrassing but
it has happened a few times.
