    Gary:

First of all, I have the manual and other documents for the TS480 in text
format, and will send them to you later today when I get home from work.

Can you give me your private e-mail address?

Second, regarding the external speaker, where are you plugging it into?

If you plug it into the headphone jack on the control head, you won't get as
good results as you would if you plugged the speaker into the external
speaker jack on the radio.

The external speaker jack is covered by a small rectangular plastic piece on
the front of the rig that must be removed first.

If you are having trouble finding that, let me know, and I'll help later
today.

Hi all
For those who have the Kenwood radio above. Does anyone have the manual in
a text file? Also, has anyone connected up a external speaker to this
radio? I have and found that the voice drops allot in volume. Is this
normal or do I need to find another jack? Gary KB2YAA
