Around here there are, so far as I know, a lot of independent stations, I 
know they used to be, but they're all playing garbage music, way too many 
commercials, and the smaller ones all playing the same crappy talk shows 
other stations play. It's a complete waste, especially when I have Satellite 
radio sitting here. I very honestly gave up on broadcast radio long before I 
got that though and just grew my music collection significantly. It's almost 
too big now.
