Hello all.

What has everyone's experience been with speaker mics for the Kenwood THF6A?
I just bought an MFJ 295K speaker mic that is supposed to work with the
THF6A, and am getting reports that I don't quite sound like myself. I am
not sure what the nature of the complaints are. I have tried listening to
myself on another rig while I'm transmitting with the THF6A, and I do notice
that the audio level seems a little low.

Has anyone else tried the MFJ 295K mic?

Do I need to go with one made by Kenwood? If so, which one works best, and
what are the prices? I don't need a speaker mic with all the function
buttons, etc.; just want a basic one.

Any info would be appreciated.
