they are both vertually identical in their operation.
In fact, i am fairly sure that uniden and realistic/rad shack scanners are
all made by the same manufacturers.
However, i do tend to lean towards uniden bearcat scanners because they have
such a great history of reliability, great audio and great sensativity.
Sometimes the radio shack units, for some reason, have poor output audio and
sensativity on some frequencies isn't what it could be.
Although, that is bassed on the older scanners...the new ones may be just as
good as the bearcat scanners.
