I'll have to try that deoxyd D5 stuff.
I have some spray that I bought from princess auto a while back...it tends 
to scour everything to the point that it'll remove heavy rust and sometimes 
paint too if your not careful.
It also takes any lubricant out of pots or switches and destroys the smooth 
feel of the pot or switch and causes problems later on due to no lubrication 
to the moving contacts.
This deoxyd sounds like it helps to minimize that particular problem.
In fact, I use this contact cleaner spray on rusty nuts and bolts when 
working on my vehicle.  It works rather well and gives PB blaster a run for 
it's money.
Probably similar to the rad shack spray everyone talks about lol.
