Gary,

As Tom mentioned, there are 3 and the one on the left is the 1/8 audio 
for external speaker.  The one in the middle is 6 pin mini DIN for data 
(like connection for digital mode stuff), and the one on the right is 8 
pin mini DIN for amp control and FSK.

If you still haven't gotten the little cover off,  put your thumb on one 
side and index finger on the other side, squeeze kind of hard and pull 
straight out.
