both are great! I use the software with JFW and the radio is quite usable without it. some bells and whistles like labeling channels are not accessible without the software but I never use that anyway.

Thank You!

Hi All,

I am considering the purchase of a Yaesu vx5r ht. Does anyone have
experience with this piece of equipment? How accessible is it nad how is
the optional software?

Thanks for any advice.
