Subject: off topic: How to determine whether a docking station will accept a
particular laptop computer
Hi, all.
I guess this technically can be considered "off topic", but as you'll see,
it may not be as far afield as it first appears.
Here's the story:
As at least some will remember, I have been on a quest for an older Windows
XP laptop to use as my main ham shack computer for quite some time now.
And, I believe I have found one at a reasonable price. It's a Dell
Lattidute D600.
Several years ago, I had acquired a Dell docking station. The only info I
can find on the docking station is that it is a Dell d-dock docking station.
How can I tell whether this particular docking station will work with the
Lattitude d600?
Is there a particular web site I can go to for answers to questions like
this?
Or, does someone know the answer already?
I just don't want to try it without adequate information, and risk damaging
something.
