Linda, an implant shouldn't cause that kind of problem in the radio.  If they
are, its time to see your team about serious rf leakage.  Someone with a field
strength meter could easily check that out for you.

As an audiologist, I've never seen such a thing althought I certainly wouldn't
say its impossible.
