Hey Butch,

Port triggering pretty much works like port forwarding, except dynamically. In other words, your router sees which IP sends some bit of traffic on some port, then dynamically sets up port forwarding for the ports specified in the port triggering entry. Shame if your Linksys routr doesn't have it; if it's one that can support dd-wrt, I'd really recommend giving that a look.
