Yep, the icom is supposed to cover .5 mhz to  I think 1.3 gig, not sure
about the top number.  One thing i've found with looking at this stuff.  I
have a set of wireless speakers from radio shack I have hooked to the tv,
and a set of wireless headphones I have hooked to my stereo.  Both of
these operate in the 900 mhz band and appear to use a wide fm mode, not
sure how wide,but narrow fm won't touch it at all.  The kenwood does
receive these, but I think is a bit wide in the wide mode.  Here is the
problem.  THe icom talkie nor any of their receivers i've looked at won't
go into wide fm mode above 900 mhz.  very strange.
