Question. One can talk to local hams via repeaters. How does one
connect with a ham who is outside the local repeater area?

Also could someone just do a brief thing on echolink, what it is and how
its used?

I know I can find out at the lcoal ham club but I will miss the next
meeting and am just curious to know before I go away for a week of skiing.
