I think this person may be running Unix   so the suggestion of folders
and filters while possible may not be as straightforward as our windows
programming.  Otherwise as my Linux programmer tells me rewrite the code
to get it to do what you want it to do.

I guess with all the work time constraints, this person forgot how to
use filters and folders to direct unwork related emails to other folders
for examination at a more leasurely time.
Even I do that for my home email just to save time and effort sorting
through different lists and so on.
