Hi Ronald,

Where does the power for this pump come from?  Does it not come from your 
house's circuit breaker box?  If it does, why not just control it with the 
associated breaker.

I'm assuming that it does not come from the house or you would be doing this 
already.

If you don't have to cross any concrete drives, sidewalks etc., you could 
always get out your garden spade and trench in a direct burial switch leg 
that you can then turn on and off from the house.

I have done something like this in the past and it really doesn't take that 
long for 100 feet.  All you need to do is to stick the spade into the ground 
about 3 or 4 inches, move it back and forth a couple of times to widen the 
slot, do this for the length required, lay in the cable and stomp down the 
slot and in a few weeks you will never know it is there.  In order to go 
straight, drive a stake in to the ground at each end, stretch a rope between 
them to use as a guide to follow.

You could probably use the exercise anyway. HI HI
