digipan works well, if you can see the waterfall yes.
It does not in fact work well with JAWS.
Unless someone on the list decided not to mention how they got it to work on
the many occasions when it has been brought up over the past year at least.
I have heard that it can be made to work, but there is no consistent way of
making it work all the time.
Also, when it does work, it tends to speak one letter at a time, and always
restarts the speech from the beginning of the message when a new letter
comes in....so by the time you get through listening, the transmission may
have been over for a few minutes.
Digitalk is self voicing and is quite a bit more user friendly.  Although, I
too have had  issues with it since one of the updates in xp...not sure which
one, but now digitalk just won't run.
