Not sure if you already have some LMR400 but if not, the Wireman has
something called Super 8 coax that is supposed to be equivalent to LMR400
except a bunch cheaper.  The Super 8 does take standard PL259 connecters.
I just bought several hundred feet at a hamfest over the weekend for my
station at my new QTH.
