ya,  you can get rid of it that way, I usually keep the last version on my 
computer in case of a problem, or in this case I have a program that works 
better with 6.2 than 7.0 and so far 7.1. the merge utility is in the utility 
menu in jaws, if you use it from the system tray you hit insert and J and go 
to utilities menu, if you run it in a window then it's I think the second 
menu over if you right arrow after hitting alt.
