It is very nice. The Synthe speaks freq, s-meter and menu settings. However,
the TS-480 synthe also speaks power level and mike gain. Just a bit more
accessible than the 2000 which is very accessible itself.

Subject: Kenwood TS-2000

Hi all,
I have read and heared about the Kenwood TS-2000 and it sounds like a very=
 nice base station.
Is anyone here using this one?
If so, how do you like it?
There is a synthesizer option available to it. How much does it speak?
Also, are there keypad tones?
Many thanks for any info,
Christian SM0UWV
