hmmm, I'm just using the full sized windom at 30FT at the feed point, down
to 15 FT on each end, and the short and long legs at 90 degrees to each
other...a rather compremised antenna to say the least...that and 100 watts
and I had little trouble making more than enough contacts for me in a
relatively short period of time.
I suspect propigation on 10M is very selective right now and it's hopping
right over certain areas.
No yaggie, and not great height, and I'm way way north compared to most of
you.
I guess I'm also way west which must be the difference maker.
I was actually pleasantly surprised that ten did open up as much as it did
before I had to leave the QTH this afternoon.
It's been pretty dull for weeks now. There were some big booming signals
from NY to GA today.
