I just tried the level control, and it did attenuate the overall volume 
slightly, but nothing major.

It does exactly what I need.

Thanks for the info, and thanks to Kevin and others on the list who 
suggested this to begin with.

Tom,

That's great!   Hopefully it works well for you.  I found it changed the
audio characteristics slightly, but that was probably more due to
introducing a different impenence.  The change was slightly noticable,
but not really a problem at all.

Isn't it nice to deal with people who really know their inventory?  <smile>
