A number of years ago, while at the Dayton fest, I talked with one of their 
engineers. I posed the question about speech and why they did not join 
Kenwood and Icom in allowing for speech, at least for frequency readout.  He 
said that the community of the blind; my words, his were more abrupt, wasn't 
worth their effort.

Since that event, I've never had anything made by them.  To bad, I hear that 
some of their gear is pretty sweet.
