Just call your 411 information operator. YHou will not necessarily be told
all of the towns and cities in that area code, but you'll know generally
where it is. It is very important not to call certain area codes, such as
ones for Jamaca or Bermuda, unless you know who you are calling. Some
scams involve seemingly great free offers available by calling, for
instance an area code in the Carribean, only to find that hundreds of
dollars have been automatically charged to your phone bill. This cannot
happen with calls in the U.S. or Canada unless you call a 900 number, or
call an 800 number and pick a menu item which surrepetitiously switches
you to a 900 number.
