It depends on yard size, first of all.  Even a smaller yard will work based
upon where the tower is located on the property.  I've had guyed towers
bolted to the back of my house at the 14 foot level with one set of guys on
a 40 foot tower and a 4 element 20 meter beam on a 26 foot boom.  I have a
50 foot free standing tower now bolted to the house at 12 feet and no guys
but just use it just for small 2 meter antennas and wire antennas.  Climbing
it to the top is a little nerve racking but I'm getting old, too.  120
degree spacing between the three guys is recommend by Rohn, or used to be,
and the angle can be shallow but not too shallow.  I had 4 inch I D 10 foot
long guy anchors about 5 feet into the ground with concrete.  Way less than
a yard is good enough based upon how big of antenna you are going to use.
My friend with the 132 foot tower had 12 foot guy anchors because his yard
wasn't large enough for guys clear to the ground.  My yard was too small for
my 65 foot tower so I used the above ground guy anchors to make up the less
than perfect down stroke angle and less than 120 degree separation between
guy levels and cables.  There are guys on here who know a whole lot more
about towers than me, though.
