I don't know that that is completely true.  I understand that back in the
70's he donated a number of Optacons to the Michigan School for the Blind
that he attended, and in the 80's he did a PSA to promote the Kurzweil
reading machine.  And I believe he appeared at one of the NFB'S Washington
Seminars in the 80's, but I don't remember the exact year.  So while he and
I would agree on very little politically, he has done at least some things
to help other blind people.

Hi Colin!

Better late than never, although his consciousness has been growing for a
while. If it reaches the right people, it won't be misplaced.

I might just take his music more seriously in the future.
