Fred, their are a couple of configurations, depending on the impedence of
the balenced line.
For 80 meters and up,
wire 103 feet, fed at the center, cut in to two equal length pieces.
2. 34 feet 450 ohm feedline, which can be either coupled directly or
through a 4-1 balon to 52 ohm coax.  The length of the coax is not critical.
The balon is necessary if you run high power.
If you use 300 ohm line, use 29.5 feet.
It needs a tuner, unless you live in the ideal plane.  It will under no
circumstance radiate below 3.5mhz, no matter what you try.
