Kieth,

I'd get a good feel/look/listen to the Orion before I sunk the amount of 
money they want for it.  I spoke with Tentec about a year ago and they said 
they were not going to be and haven't made there radios accessible in years. 
So be careful, whatever you do.

Also, I had a 746-pro, and it seemed to me that about the only thing one got 
in the 756 pro over the 746-pro was a very expensive spectrum analyzer and 
perhaps a better swr meter on the front of the radio.

You can forget about accessing most of the menus in either case with regard 
to the pro series of radios even with software.
