For what it's worth, we use the free version of AVG here at the home qth,
and I have never had any problems with it interfacing with Jaws or any of my
other software.  My XYL is sighted, and she installed it herself.  I don't
know if you have sighted assistance available, but that may be the best way
to go.

At any rate, I see no reason why the purchased version should give you any
trouble once you get it installed.
