I feel like I'm sort of in the same boat.  I passed the tests, but I don't
really feel like I understand the hobby, at least not the technical side of
it.  I know that HandiHams has some general books on the hobby, and I will
probably pick those up and study them.  Specifically, I would like to learn
more about antennas, propagation, electronics, ETC.

Good luck, and ask lots of questions.  That's the best way to learn.
