Hello, Kent. My name is Doug Emerson. My amateur call is N6NFF and I live in
Sacramento, California. Six land! Welcome to the list and welcome back to
ham radio. There are a number of persons on the list who can help you select
a good, ususable h f rig. I can't help because I don't operate h f though I
have privilages for there. Enjoy the list. Glad to meet you. 73 And God
bless. Doug, N6NFF

Good morning blind-hams list.

My name is Kent Plemmons and I live near Waynesville NC in the Great Smoky
Mountains. This is in the western end of North Carolina not far from the
Tennessee border.

Tom Behler in Michigan told me about the Blind-Hams list and I am pleased to
be able to join you all.

I am 57 years old and am married. I enjoy amateur radio, gardening,
beekeeping, technology, Bible study and people.

Presently I have a general class license and My call sign is kk4fff. My
interest in amateur radio began in 1994 when I attained a tech plus license
(ke4kka) which I unwisely allowed to expire several years ago.

The radios that I have are an Icom IC-275H 2 meter all mode base and a
Kenwood TM-V71A mobile that I also use as a base.

I am now in the process of selecting an hf base radio and a suitable
antenna(s). I am looking forward to getting to know some of you all and
learning as I indeed have much that I don't know.

Thank you,

Kent Plemmons
