Don't they usually convert to 28 mhz?   Lot's of bandwidth there.   I 
think the 590 allows for either connection  via  the UHF antenna jack, 
or via one of the RCA jacks (the infamous "drive" feature).

Of course, I've never used one,  so  I'm qualified to pontificate on the 
subject.
