I think, if I'm not mistaken you either have to disconnect the guides when 
you let the car down, or the guides are attached to the car, I forget which. 
I'll have to ask the guys that have them I know. I do know for sure it's 1 
or the other and yes, installation is not for the faint at heart. 
Personally, as long as it's solid, or on a tilt over base, I think if it 
were me I wouldn't even bother.
