If yours won't turn on, you could have blown the fuse so it's not getting 
power from the CD power jack, not charging the battery or running the radio, 
this is caused by leaving the charger plugged in to AC all the time and 
plugging it in to the radio, or just plugging that in to the radio after the 
charger in the wall as I'm told, it was a very common problem with the early 
ones. Or you did what I think I did which is something to the PC board in 
the front, mine doesn't turn on or off when I want,I have to hit the button 
just right, internal speaker's gone for the most part, I'm considering it a 
loss, probably cost more to fix it than it's worth after all these years, 
I've also had mine around 7 years. When I have the money, I'll buy another 
one.
