Our culture has always been a visual culture. Before TV and radio, it was
books and newspapers.

The difference is that today people would rather watch TV than read a good
book or listen to the radio. People would rather get on the internet than
talk on ham radio. They just want to be able to do things immediately
without any learning.

We blind folks use our brains more than the average sighted person and we
also appreciate sounds, smells and tastes our environment has to offer.
