The number keys which switch directly to each band have three settings.
I believe these are called band stacking registers. In effect, buy default,
one is for the cw segment, one for ssb segment, and another for other
segments. Therefor, as in your example, the 2 key pressed has three
settings.
If memory serves, one was set for cw mode in the cw segment, one and the
other two were in the phone segment and in ssb.
So, its a case of remembering what you want to do which tells you how many
times to press the 2 key to get near where you want.
