Old Heath Kit radio had the best intercom I ever owned.  It had an in door 
out door weather intercom whereby the person knocked on the door or rang 
your door bell and then you could ask who was there.  So they need not push 
anything to talk.  It was all wire stuff back in those days but it had about 
6 stations, excellent quality, and that in door out door speaker really 
helped a lot.  Never found anything like it since.
