i Eddie,
If you've got a tower and a rotator you might want to try the Hy-Gain Th3
Junior (thunderbird) tri-band beam. I used it with great success on the top
of my 50-foot tower for several years (I only took it down because i had to
move to a rental, so my tower owning days were at an end). Using that
antenna an only 5 watts, I worked lots of dx on 20, 15 and 10 meters, at the
bottom of the sun spot cycle (2005-2009). I worked a lot of stations on 20
meters, had some great congtacts into Australia and Africa on 15 and lots of
sporadic e skip on 10 meters during the summer plus dx during the summer
months.

Ron, you got that right, I'm currently using a dipole, I had a Cushcraft A3S
with the 40 meter kit, but thanks to hurricane Ike I lost it.
I would like to buy a 10 - 20 Tribander that's not as big nor as difficult
to put together, do you have any ideas? 73s Eddie N1LR

Hello Eddie
Welcome to the list. I think you might be surprised how far you can talk
these days.

I've just moved into a new rental house and the landlord says I can put up
antennas, so hope to see you on the air.

Hello everybody, I just joined the group, I'm an assistive technology
trainer in Houston, I teach Jaws, Zoomtext, Magic, Kurzweil and Openbook.

I've been a ham for more than ten years, my blindness was caused by RP, I'm
really excited about finding a blind group on the band, hope to hear you
guys on the air, 73s.
