Yes, I certainly do remember the Conway Meter reader.  I remember trying to
pay him some money for the device and he appeared to be upset; saying he
wanted no money.  He only asked that the meter reader be passed on to
someone else if I  no longer needed it.  Except for amplifiers one has to
tune, it isn't needed nearly as much.
