Ron,
Good deal. You do need to use the virtual comm port driver from kenwood.
http://www.kenwood.com/i/products/info/amateur/software_download.html
Don't plug in the usb cable to the radio until after the software
is installed, and be sure to note what comm port is installed. You
can change this in windows device manager if need be.
Be sure baud rates match in the logger and the radio.
