Hi Tom,

Glad you got the Windom going again.

I always believed that the real problems were the upper seal on the matching unit and the holes in the balun itself.

These would let water into the unit, which could well emerge through the coax connector, depending on the construction of the units. I never took the things apart to find out.

Anyway, good luck and let's know how you get on after the next lot of rain.
