Ed, I might give it another try this summer if I can get myself together.
Are you still climbing? I was up one of my towers this morning. My wife
asked me about two weeks ago when I was going to stop climbing and I told
her, when I die.

Subject: ladder line

Fred, My tower is away from the house so I just use what reached to the
balun which is under the eves of my house and that is about 56 feet which
is not the best for 80 meters but the tuner tunes it okay. I have about 12
feet of 213 going from the tuner to the balun. I know the Z for 80 would
be pretty high but it works okay anyway. If I should run more feed line I
would have a problem with extra. I don't have my ant to the top of my 50
foot tower, just at 40 feet. I don't like the idea of coiling ladder line
up but I would run it out to a guy post or something like that. 73
